Murray Brown

Our youth pastor is Murray Brown. He has oversight of intermediate, high school and young adult ministries. 

Murray commenced in this role on the 24th February, 2014.

Murray first came to St Albans in 1997, after completing ten years as the youth pastor at Central Baptist here in Palmy, to be the youth pastor at St Albans for one year, which extended into two years. Murray has been a member here ever since.

From 1995-98, Murray worked as the National Co-ordinator of Training for Baptist Youth Ministries and in 1999 became the Director of YouthTRAIN (www.youthtrain.com). Since then, many youth workers and volunteer leaders from many denominations have been trained by him through distance learning, local workshops and block courses.  Murray has also taught degree level youth leadership courses at Carey Baptist College and Laidlaw College and has taught overseas in Australia and Asia.

Murray is very experienced and well qualified with a Youth Pastor Diploma, Certificate in Adult Teaching (Massey University) and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Theology (Carey Baptist College).
